The MS 5k walk in Towson this Sunday, April 14, will be held at Goucher College at 8:30 AM. Although we will use simplex for the event (147.600) we’ll be monitoring the BRATS repeater (147.030+) beforehand to coordinate.

Rol Anders, K3RA, will be offering an “Operating Course” using the new ARRL Operating Manual as a guide, with expert presentations as well, on Tuesdays from 6:30-9:30 PM at the Museum of Electronics starting on April 16.

The Baltimore Amateur Radio Club hamfest will be April 6, 2013, at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, with setup on April 5. Anyone wishing to volunteer for a 2 hour shift will get free admission. For details or to sign up, visit the BARC Facebook page.

The BRATS wishes to thank Tom Horne W3TDH for the introduction to the Skywarn program. Tom spoke at length about the structure of Skywarn, and how even as untrained Amateur Radio Operators we can support the program.
